Course Purpose:

 Students will analyze the historical relationship between the United States and other nations world wide.

SS.5.1 Students will critique events in American History that led to our current system of government and compare it to systems in different times and places.
SS.5.2 Students will analyze the probable causes and effects of the Civil War by differentiating the environmental, cultural, and technological characteristics of the Northern and Southern United States.
SS.5.3 Students will analyze the United States’ role in World War II and concurrent global events of the time period through use of a variety of sources.
SS.5.4 Students will analyze the causes and effects of the atrocities of the Holocaust.
SS.5.5 Students will relate the characteristics of our nation’s economy to the world.
