2nd Grade

Course Purpose:

Students will engage in aspects of standard musical notation and composition and make connections between music, culture, and dance.

Students will notate, compose, and improvise various ostinati, using standard and iconic notation, on body and instrumental percussion, using known rhythms, dotted half note/rests, and whole note/rests.
