Music Curriculum

1st Grade

Course Purpose:

Students will engage in the basics of musical notation and composition on a variety of instruments, and investigate how personal choices help create musical ideas.

Outcomes and Components:

FA.1M.6 Students will perform and identify the beat, the rhythm, and the meter of a known song on a variety of instruments, incorporating known rhythms and half notes/rests, and verbally and visually be able to differentiate between the two.
