Art Curriculum

4th Grade

Course Purpose:

 Students will create, collaborate, and analyze their artwork, their peers’ artwork, and historical artwork using the elements of art and principles of design.

Students will use the elements of art (line, shape, color, texture, form, value, & space) and the principles of design (pattern, movement, variety, & emphasis) when creating with a variety of art mediums.
FA.4A.2 Students will collaborate with peers to interpret historical artwork and create a work of art.
FA.4A.3 Students will analyze their artwork and that of others, in order to  reflect on the creative process, artistic choices, and how artwork is preserved.
